Intentional travel for the mindful explorer.
I’ve spent over 20 years in the restaurant and hospitality world, as a chef, a planner, and someone who truly knows how to take care of people. But about 15 years ago, everything shifted when I took my first solo trip to Greece. That journey sparked something deeper: a love not just for travel, but for the way it can change how we see the world, and ourselves.
Since then, I’ve explored over 30 countries, both solo and with friends and family. I’ve experienced it all: independent travel, group tours, and even cruises. Each trip taught me how powerful intentional travel can be - when it’s rooted in curiosity, connection, and a sense of purpose.
With a background in operations and process improvement, I know how to turn big dreams into real plans. I specialize in helping people create travel experiences that are not only unforgettable, but truly aligned with who they are. I know what it’s like to balance a full-time job and a passport full of stamps, so I help others make travel part of their real lives, not just a once-a-year escape.
My goal? To help you feel confident, inspired, and ready to plan your next trip before you’ve even landed home from this one. Whether you're a new traveler or ready to level up your adventures, I’m here to bring strategy, heart, and a whole lot of experience to make travel feel both accessible and deeply rewarding.

What is Intentional Travel?
Intentional travel is about more than just checking places off a list. It's a mindful approach to exploring the world. It means traveling with purpose, awareness, and curiosity.
At Jayu Travel, that looks like:
- Connecting deeply with local cultures and communities
- Choosing experiences that align with your values
- Moving at a pace that invites reflection and presence
- Being conscious of your impact - socially, culturally, and environmentally
It’s travel that fills your passport and your soul, and helps you return home changed in all the right ways.
Accessible & Inclusive Travel
I believe everyone deserves the freedom to explore the world, no matter their age, mobility, health, or sensory needs. I design trips that are thoughtful, inclusive, and adaptable to individual needs. Whether you're traveling with a mobility device, managing a medical condition, or navigating sensory sensitivities, I'm here to make travel easier, safer, and more enjoyable.
That means:
- Carefully selected accessible accommodations and activities
- Help with mobility rentals, equipment delivery, and medical prep
- Pre-arranged airport assistance and accessible transfers
- Sensory-friendly options, downtime, and custom pacing
- Support before and during your trip. You never feel stuck or alone
Inclusive travel is intentional travel. It’s not about limitations, it’s about possibilities.

A few of my favorite trips
Morocco
My first cross country adventure with Intrepid Travel took me from the blue city of Chefchaouen through Fes to the vibrant streets of Marrakech. It was my introduction to the depth of culture that group travel can unlock. That experience sparked a six-year journey, mostly self-planned, where we explored beyond the guidebooks.
New Zealand
A solo trip inspired by my 10th Incubus concert turned into a deep cultural and natural immersion. It included exploring Māori traditions in Auckland and Rotorua, to night walking the treetops of the Redwoods, watching geysers erupt, and rafting over Kaituna, the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the world.
Peru
I spent two weeks with Q’ero shamans, visiting sacred sites and learning deeply from their spiritual practices. During the journey, I rafted the Urubamba River, made my own chocolate in Cusco, and explored the creative side of Peruvian life through local street art tours. It was a powerful blend of culture, nature, and personal connection.
Bahamas
I took my first cruise just this year. Something I never really considered before and frankly snubbed as a "seasoned traveler”. I went with my family, and to my surprise, I absolutely loved it. From endless food and entertainment to exciting port city adventures, it was a fun, low-stress, and surprisingly affordable way to travel with a larger group.
